On 15 November 2016 the IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) honoured Roland Mack, founder and owner of Europa-Park, with its highest distinction and inducted him into its coveted Hall of Fame – a feat only achieved by very selected influential figures including Walt Disney. Mack was presented the award at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, the world’s largest trade fair for the leisure industry. It was emphasised how few others have achieved more worthy success and recognition than Mack within the industry. Roland Mack is no stranger to acclaim in his field, having already been appointed as the first German President of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in 2012.
