Mack Rides is proud to be awarded for it’s new Media Dark Ride: Snorri Touren at Europa-Park. The very first project from our new ride brand Tacumeon Rides!
Our main focus was the seamless integration of media screens, immersive effects and a wonderful designed theming.
The whole family can encounter an adventorous trip through sunken ships, slippery glaciers and have a singalong in trolldal as we try to find Svalgur, the seasnake.
With Snorri Touren a second media-based ride from MACK Rides was awarded with the Thea Award after Arthur – Kingdom of the Minimoys in 2017.
The single car dark ride was built on the story of Snorri, a little kraken and the mascot of Rulantica, Europa-Parks water park next door.
An innovative rotating track switch allowed the media integration of two video domes during the ride cycle. Here the cars are positioned on top of a motion base and send down an icy glacier.
Tacumeon Rides is the brand for MACK Rides media-based attractions and offering new tools for storytelling in themeparks. The ride hardware is produced by MACK Rides, while media content is also created by one of the MACK group: the successful animator studio MACK Animation from Hannover. This partnership is offering different approaches to create wonderful rides around storybook adventures.
